Hola! My name is Miranda and I am currently a student at the University of California, Berkeley. I am majoring in Public Health and aspire to be a Physician's Assistant. I am proudly the first generation of my family to attend college. Spanish is my first language; my parents have always spoken to me in Spanish (and still do!). They have always emphasized the importance of preserving my native tongue, culture, and heritage. Due to this, I have been able to connect to my family and community on a deeper level, learning to love and appreciate my people and culture. I want others to be able to learn more and appreciate the beautiful language I grew up speaking. Hello! My name is Usayd, I am currently enrolled at the University of California Los Angeles, majoring in Neuroscience with aspirations of pursuing a medical degree. Hi, I’m Annabelle. I’m a rising senior pursuing a major in neuroscience with a minor in math at the University of California, Los Angeles. On top of medicine and research, I’ve had a longstanding interest in education. Since 2020, I’ve taught English to people in areas of conflict through online lessons. Through a STEM club at UCLA, I’ve guided high schoolers through biochemical experiments and pop culture themed presentations on the protocol and science behind them. I was also a learning assistant for UCLA’s Life Science 7A course, using memorable visuals and analogies to break down complex molecular biology concepts. While many interpret the mistakes that come with tackling new and challenging concepts as setbacks, I want to frame them as opportunities for growth. Hello! My name is Adi and I'm currently a student at UCLA majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Biomedical Research. My teaching journey began in 2022 with volunteering as a tutor for SquashDrive where I mentored K-12 students in biology, chemistry, and calculus.
